Did you notice? Spring is in the air! It looks like we’ve made it through most of the cold weather, and the temperatures are more normal again. Your piano will certainly appreciate that. And Easter piano music may be part of your spring enjoyment, which also makes March the perfect time for tunings.
And while it’s a bit early to actually tune it right this minute, it’s time to get on the schedule of your favorite Richmond piano tuner so I can get to it at the perfect time, right after the last cold spell and when the temperature has been normal for a little while so the piano had a chance to adjust. Let’s say in March!
Remember, the two biggest enemies of your piano’s perfect sound are temperature fluctuations and changes in humidity. And both are drastically different when the seasons change from winter to spring to summer.
So spring and fall are the best times to have the piano tuned and checked, and have it last for the longest possible time.
Easter Piano Music
And for many of us, the piano is a big part of Easter music enjoyment, and other holidays during the spring season. Even Mother’s Day! And for churches, Easter and the entire Easter season is a highlight of the year, and the piano needs to be in perfect form.
And “perfect form” doesn’t just mean a tuning, although often a tuning is all it needs. It can also include minor repairs and a cleaning, and yes, I do those things too.
As you now, I happily tune pianos for churches as well as schools. After your pianos have been getting heavy use during the Christmas season, it will get lots of play during spring. After all, that’s the time for Easter Piano Music.
The perfect time for tunings and bigger jobs too…
If you’d like to have your piano tuned during spring, be sure to let me know as soon as possible so I can fit you in. The best way to get in touch with me by sending a text message to 804-677-2416.
What if someone gave you a piano as a gift (lucky you!), maybe for Christmas, and it needs some TLC or repairs. Maybe it even needs some restoration, especially if it is an heirloom. Yes, I can do that as well – in fact, I LOVE making old pianos look and play like new. It’s just that I’m fairly booked, so if you want to get a spot in my schedule, let me know as soon as possible.
Ready for your spring tuning
To give your piano the attention it needs during the perfect time for tunings, just send me a text message to get on my schedule. As you know, I tune pianos in the greater Richmond area and all over Central Virginia. I even travel a little beyond that, but mostly I stick to the neighboring counties, such as Goochland, Hanover, Chesterfield, Henrico, and the various cities including Ashland, Mechanicsville, and more. And, of course Richmond proper, from the VCU area and the Fan to the Museum district and the Westend, we’ll be happy to help.
In the meantime, continue to enjoy the spring-like weather while it lasts, and remember to get your piano ready for any spring holidays you may celebrate! Feel free to text (or call) me at 804-677-2416.
